Jonas Silvestre Medeiros

Jonas is a PhD in Building Construction Engineering and a former professor at The Polytechnic School of The University of Sao Paulo. He was the editor and co-author of the Handbook of Wall Partition and Façade Building Technology and wrote “Construction: 101 Questions & Answers”, a book for the general public. He is a guest professor in the Professional Master in Housing at the Institute of Research and Technology and worked as a technical manager for Brazilian ceramic tile manufacturer Portobello S.A. Jonas now is the CEO of INOVATEC, an architectural and engineering company specialized in building envelope design and CUBICON, the first Brazilian modular construction startup.

Agustín Escardino

Doctor of Chemical Sciences from the University of Valencia. Professor of Chemical Engineering from 1965 to 1991 and Vice Chancellor from 1979 to 1984. He directs the University Institute of Ceramic Technology at Universitat Jaume I of Castellón and chairs the New Technologies Commission of the High Advisory Council on Research, Development and Innovation of the Generalitat Valenciana.

His main research works have focused on chemical engineering and technology applied to the field of ceramic technology. He has conducted numerous projects, thesis as well as the publication of articles and papers for conferences.

In the 90s, Agustín Escardino established, together with other ITC researchers, the company ITACA S.A., dedicated to the manufacture of inorganic pigments destined to color porcelain tiles. This company is now part of Esmalglass-Itaca Group.

He is an Academician of the Academy of Ceramics and National Corresponding Academician of the Royal Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences, attached to the Section of Physical and Chemical Sciences. He is part of several institutions devoted to the promotion of Research and Science and belongs to several professional and research societies: American Institute of Chemical Engineers-AIChE (USA); American Ceramic Society (USA); Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass; Royal Spanish Society of Industrial Chemistry and Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry, among others.

 

Throughout his career he has been granted many awards in recognition of his work.

Cristian Mattioli

Expert in Electronics and Telecommunications he worked as a Software Engineer in the Department of R&D of OMIS SPA until he joined SYSTEM SPA in 2002.

He has developed his career within the company with different responsibilities, initially as a Software Engineer, then as Software Engineering Supervisor now holding the position of Engineering Manager, from which he coordinates a team for the development of a platform of software services devoted to the interconnection of automatic machines and the regulation of flows within manufacturing systems.

Alejandro Navarro

Alejandro Navarro Marín-Buck was born in Castellón in 1972. He has a degree in Business Studies from the University of Alicante. He has developed practically all his professional career within the ceramic sector.

In 1998, he joined Cerámica Saloni, where he performed different functions in the areas of Administration and Finance, subsequently in 2007 in the Marketing and Product Management, and finally in the General Management between 2016-2019. He joined the Ceramic Argenta Management in May 2019.

Alfredo Peña

He is an entrepreneur, Civil Engineer from the University of Cuenca, has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Specialization in Finance from the Army Polytechnic School together with the Monterrey Institute of Technology and he has also an International Executive Master in Business Administration from the Adolfo Ibáñez University.

He has held the position of Manager in local, national and international companies such as National Development, Graiman, Vanderbilt, Tugalt, Azuay Chemical Industries, Vías del Austro, Azuay Nuevo Milenio, and he is currently the Executive Chairman of the Graiman Industrial Group.

Alfredo Peña Payro has been a member of the Board of Directors of different companies, financial institutions, foundations and unions such as: Banco del Austro, Cofiec, ETAPA, National Committee of INCAE, Casa Ronald Mcdonald Foundation Ecuador, Fedexpor, Endeavor Ecuador, Empresas del Parque Industrial de Cuenca, Mucho Mejor Ecuador Corporation and Director of the Mining Chamber of Ecuador.

He is Director of the Chamber of Industries, Production and Employment of Cuenca and he was its president in the period 2012-2014.

Juan Vicente Bono

President of the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for the Ceramic Industry (ASEBEC). Juan Vicente Bono is an industrial engineer, he started working as an engineer in the industrial machinery sector mainly focused on the ceramic industry.
Moreover, he has also a business profile: founding partner of several companies connected to the industrial engineering industry and the machinery industry such as Network Process Control Systems and Integra Synergy Systems.

Eric Astrachan

Eric Astrachan, Executive Director of the Tile Council of North America, Inc., has 42 years of experience in international business with the past twenty-seven years in the ceramic tile industry in manufacturing, installation, research, and association management.

Mr. Astrachan is the present Chairman of the Tile Council of North America Handbook Committee, and a member of many industry technical committees. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors for the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation and the Board of Governors of the trade show “Coverings”.

He is a recognized industry consultant and keynote speaker regarding the ceramic tile industry and issues relating to tile standards, tile installation, and slip/fall litigation. Mr. Astrachan continues to write and present papers on the subject of ceramic tile and presents several seminars a year at trade shows and other venues.

He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Chemical Engineering.

Ramón Debon

Ramón Debon is the operations manager of Colorker since 2010 and was previously Responsible for Quality. He is a Mining Technical Engineer and an Industrial Technical Engineer with a specialty in Industrial Chemistry from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.

He is an Executive MBA APD from the Catholic University of Valencia San Vicente Mártir and Master Industry 4.0 from the PEAKS Business School. Ramón Debon has also teaching experience and he is a professor of the Master Industry 4.0 in FOM – ASESORAMIENTO TECNOLÓGICO.

Rafael Vicent.

Technical Director of KERAjet, S. A. is an industrial engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He has been working in the research and development of equipment for the ceramic industry for more than thirty years.

He started working at Porcelanosa Group as an R&D Engineer and he is a founding partner of KERAjet, S.A., a company that has revolutionized the ceramic sector with its digital decoration systems. He is currently a member of the ASEBEC board.
